Board of Education Elects Officers

St. Louis--June 17, 2008--The Board of Education held its annual election of officers tonight at its meeting at the Gateway School complex on Jefferson. The board will meet at Gateway, which is one block north of Carr Lane, during the summer while Carr Lane is undergoing renovations.

The new officers for 2008-09 are
President Peter Downs
Vice President David Jackson
Secretary Donna Jones

Downs and Jackson were elected to their second terms. Jones replaced Flint Fowler as secretary. continued >>

Brother Nixon is loved by thousands in the metro area for helping our dates or relationships with a simple rose. The Rose Man was a fixture in the clubs and lounges where brothers and sisters were socializing bringing love and respect.

He was killed by misguided bullets of a misguided young, black male.

Radicals and the progressive movements in this country often get blamed for things they didn’t do and don’t get credit for the things they do.

The work of progressives (not to be confused with fanatics), particularly over the last decade, has played a significant role in who became the Democratic nominees for presidents. It was no accident that a woman and a person of color were the candidates.
