The Organization for Black Struggle was founded in 1980 by community activists, students, union organizers and others to fill a vacuum left by the assaults on the Black Power Movement.
We use the Nguzo Saba as our Black Value System and the summed up experiences of the freedom fighters all over the world as a blueprint for liberation. We are guided by the legacy of struggle handed down by our ancestors, martyrs and contemporary s/heroes.

Our Vision:
To contribute to the creation of a society free of all forms of exploitation and oppression.
Our Mission: To build a movement that fights for political empowerment and economic justice and the cultural dignity of the African-American community, especially the Black working class.
